HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR
HomeBuys is looking for a HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR on the east side of Columbus. This is a newly created position due to company growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administers the payroll in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for maintaining the payroll and HRIS records and compiling reports from database.
- Solves problems concerning payroll, answers inquiries, and enforces payroll policies.
- Coordinate and submit weekly payroll data to Paychex and all other payroll processing related activities.
- Oversight of recruitment efforts including writing and placing job ads
- Proper handling, processing, data entry, and filing of all paperwork related to new hires, transfers, payroll/personnel changes, direct deposit, separations, and all other applicable areas.
- Provides various reports concerning tracking of employee turnover, PTO, and other performance metrics.
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of health insurance compliance for the ACA.
- Manages all Workers Compensation processing for the company including claims management and coordination with the third-party administrator
- May conduct surveys of benefit practices and wage surveys with other companies in the area.
- Developing and maintaining company's handbook on policies and procedures recommending personnel policies and procedures
- Respond in a timely manner to all garnishments, employment verifications and other similar requests. Communicates withholding orders to employees, maintains records and compliance with federal and state laws.
- Compile payroll data, process employee changes, perform data entry, and audit the accuracy of payroll information and data.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Human resources, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
- 3 years HR experience.
- Paychex experience a plus
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Retail experience a plus
- Professional Human Resource (PHR) or other recognized HR certification a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, be able to drive, and have access to a vehicle.
