HOME LIFE MEDIA NEEDS A MOTIVATED, HIGHLY ORGANIZED PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT/SOURCING MANAGER TO JOIN OUR TEAM.

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

As Product Development / Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for product development and calendar management for given product categories.

You will work with Divisional VP on vendor assessment, selection, and development of samples & production along with working with others to manage the production process from conception to finished product delivery.

The Production Manager will help lead the strategy and production process, partnering with merchandising, design, product development, vendors, and others to bring product ideas to life.

You will analyze materials, product samples to determine appropriate construction application/techniques, limitations, quality, and availability issues. You will also be responsible for ensuring product fits into correct price points and coordinating all production processes with offshore & domestic suppliers along with the timely delivery and outstanding quality of product for our customer base. This position includes PO placement, WIP tracking, daily communication and follow up, and all related activities.

· Manage & Achieve Product Quality, Cost Margins & lead time goals.

· Direct report to VP of Product Development & Production

· Work closely with the Product Development team to ensure vision of product is achieved during the sourcing process

· Collaborate with Design & Merchandising on costing options to achieve creative solutions to hit target costs while still maintaining design’s vision & quality standards.

· Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure on time sample & production delivery per set calendar

· Analyze product materials, fabrics, and trims to determine appropriate cost, construction application/techniques, limitations, quality, and availability issues.

· Maintain WIP reports in Finale Inventory Management system & ensure accuracy of pricing and delivery dates through daily upkeep.

· Ensure weekly WIP updates from the suppliers & manufacturers ( samples & production ) to ensure on time delivery.

· Coordinate production order placement with multiple global & domestic vendors to include cost/MOQ negotiations & manufacturing lead time confirmation.

· Manage inventory levels needed for all points of sale/ distribution.

· Compile product information details for warehouse stock, resale & distribution purposes e.g. product weights, dimensions, packaging, carton size.

· Evaluate product packaging/carton specifications with Warehouse Team to maximize available stock space requirements & facilitate distribution requirements. Execute requirements with suppliers & manufacturers & ensure shipments are made as specified.

· Daily supplier communication on production progress. Communicate & resolve design/ function problems that occur in the manufacturing process changes with Divisional VP & Category Production Coordinators.

· Enter and maintain SKU's, costs, lead times & vendor profiles in the Inventory Management system.

· Coordinate Overseas shipments with factories & freight forwarder.

· Maintain up to date shipment information for POs & communicate with the Operations/ Distribution Warehouse division on inbound delivery information.

· Manage Product QC for the Development & Production of given product categories.

· Perform other job duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

· 3 + years in a comparable role as Production Development/Sourcing Manager

· 2+ years experience in inventory control processes

· Knowledge of product creation process, material construction, and manufacturing processes

· Good understanding of brands, target customers, and product trends

· Merchandising & Design experience a plus

· Experience in apparel manufacturing, screen printing, DTG printing a plus.

· Working knowledge of Finale & Ship Station systems a plus.

· Proficient in Excel, Word, Google Sheets, Illustrator a plus.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a solid understanding of how to communicate with global supplier base

· Capable of multitasking

· Be proactive, anticipate problems, facilitate problem-solving, escalate and address issues in a timely manner

· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and passion for the job

· Quick learner and a self-starter

· Adaptable in a fast paced, high growth work environment
