DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Assurance Analyst reviews HomeTown Ticketing web-based infrastructure and mobile applications to identify inconsistencies in expected behavior. Close communication will be required between the analyst and product development teams to produces high quality solutions for our customers.
RESPONSIBLITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
- Documenting and reporting product or service quality levels.
- Developing and implementing standards for inspection.
- Developing a workflow for product inspection.
- Developing plans to help a company manage waste.
- Communicating with other team members to solve problems.
- Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found.
- Training other quality insurance members on all inspection processes.
- Experience testing mobile applications (Android and iOS).
- Experience testing web applications and application programming interfaces (APIs).
- Experience with Atlassian Jira software.
- Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Shell Script, PHP).
- Experience in working with relational databases (MySQL).
- Experience with computer networking and hardware configurations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum four-year technical degree in related field (required).
- 2-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- 2-5 years of experience with test automation tools (Selenium, SoapUI, etc.).
- Self-starter and effective team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept at creation of test plans, scenarios, and cases from requirements and design documents.
- Willing and able to make objective pass/fail determinations based on customer and subject matter expectations.
- Experienced in different types of testing techniques and practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills that incorporate effective research and analysis.
