Job Summary
One You Love Homecare Windermere is working toward opening late this Summer! We are seeking an exceptional core team of experienced caregivers who can be personal in-home heroes to our clients and their families. We are currently hiring for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) roles as well as home health aides and companions. As a CNA for One You Love Homecare you will assist patients with their daily living needs, provide compassionate care, and generally increase their quality of life. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their patients.
Note: Exact location will vary within the agencies service area. Selected candidates may identify areas in which they are available to accept assignments including: Winter Garden/Horizon West, Windermere, Dr. Philips, Celebration, Hunter's Creek, Lake Nona, Kissimmee, BVL, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities include
Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) for elderly clients and clients who have had a recent surgery, injury or accident and require support at home
Personal care assistance with activities of daily living to include showering/bathing, dressing, and grooming
Homemaker/Companion assistance with instrumental activities of daily living to include light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and errands
Remind clients to take medications
Provide mobility assistance around the house and while on doctor’s appointments, errands, walks etc.
Complete client’s shopping and put items away, keeping an organized living space for the client
Observe, report and document daily tasks
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Follow the plan of care as approved by the agency RN
Escalate any unusual incidents, behaviors, or changes in status immediately to the RN or Administrator
Provide socialization and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
First aid and CPR-certified
Basic computer skills and ability to comply with documentation requirements via mobile app.
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
Ability to lift heavy objects
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work with limited supervision
