About The Job
As the General Manager, you will manage the restaurant's day-to-day operations, ensure excellent guest service while promoting a positive work environment, and prioritize developing staff to reach their highest potential. You will also maximize profitability, maintain high food and beverage quality standards, and manage inventory and supplies. Responsibilities
Operates and manages the front and back of the house people, systems, and processes to ensure positive financial results and to maximize profits.
Oversees the restaurant's day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and financial management.
Ensures restaurant operations meet or exceed Homeward Kitchen’s standards.
Partners with other leaders to anticipate and deliver outstanding operational performance.
Enthusiastically leads the team and celebrates successes while holding team members accountable for performance results.
Prioritizes key guest experience metrics to create, maintain, and exceed guest experience expectations, leading to sustained restaurant operational success.
Manages restaurant staff hiring, training, supervision, and retention.
Ensures that health and safety standards are met and adhered to.
Responds to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Manages payroll, employee benefits, and other related human resources activities.
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Skills & Experience Needed
5+ years of proven work experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role.
Solid knowledge of restaurant management best practices.
Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in business administration or hospitality management is preferred.
New restaurant opening experience preferred.
