    A new restaurant! A new concept! Join us as we open our first Homeward Kitchen, devoted to making home-cooked meals accessible even on the busiest days, in December 2023 in Southern Pines, NC.

    About The Job

    As a Team Member, you will ensure that all orders are prepared quickly and accurately while maintaining the highest food safety and guest service standards. You will assist in maintaining a clean and organized restaurant.

    Responsibilities

    Cook

    Prepare and cook orders according to recipe and guest specifications, using fryers, grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.

    Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.

    Stock and maintain workstations with necessary supplies.

    Receive, store and rotate food and beverage products as well as paper goods and cleaning supplies.

    Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed.

    Follow established health and safety guidelines.

    Clean and Sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.

    Assemble orders according to specifications.

    Prep Cook

    Prepare ingredients for use in cooking (e.g. washing/chopping vegetables, portioning food, thawing frozen products etc.)

    Prepare and cook orders according to recipe and guest specifications, using fryers, grills, ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.

    Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.

    Stock and maintain workstations with necessary supplies.

    Receive, store and rotate food and beverage products as well as paper goodsand cleaning supplies.

    Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed. Follow established health and safety guidelines.

    Utility

    Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.

    Stock and maintain workstations with necessary supplies.

    Receive, store and rotate food and beverage products as well as paper goods and cleaning supplies.

    Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed. Follow established health and safety guidelines.

    Food Expeditor

    Ensure all orders are prepared according to the tickets with any special instructions completed. Adhere to ticket time standards and expectations.

    Ensure the food presentation meets standards and expectations. Verify all accompanying extras, such as sauces, are correct according to the order specifications.

    Restock the window with trays and paper products that are used to efficiently provide the tools required by the service staff to fulfill the service requirements.

    Prepare trays with orders.

    Assist the team responsible for clearing and resetting all tables promptly and efficiently.

    Must be able to interact with Members/Guests professionally, helping them with changes and last-minute requests as needed.

    Drive Thru Window

    Welcome guests and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner.

    Take orders, assemble orders, and deliver to guests quickly and accurately according to specifications.

    Follow approved cash handling procedures, accept payments, and issue change and/or receipts.

    Count the contents of the cash register drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

    Operate and maintain equipment.

    Stock and maintain workstations with necessary supplies.

    Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed.

    Follow established health and safety guidelines.

    Clean and Sanitize the restaurant's work areas, equipment, and public areas throughout the shift.

    Cashier

    Greet guests and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner.

    Take orders, assemble orders, and deliver to guests quickly and accurately according to specifications.

    Follow approved cash handling procedures, accept payments, and issue change and/or receipts.

    Count the contents of the cash register drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

    Operate and maintain equipment.

    Stock and maintain workstations with necessary supplies.

    Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed.

    Follow established health and safety guidelines.

    Clean and Sanitize work areas, equipment, dining room and public areas of the restaurant throughout the shift.

    Skills & Experience Needed

    3+ years of proven work experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or similar role.

    Ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing.

    Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business administration or hospitality management preferred.

    New restaurant opening experience preferred.

    Must be 18 years or older.
