We are looking for Weekend coverage Saturdays and Sundays In-Home Caregivers to join our growing team and help to bring our unique care philosophy to life. Our on-line Homewatch CareGivers University helps you make the most of your career by providing a higher level of care and more meaningful connections with your clients. Our courses will provide you with the training and resources needed to meet the unique care needs of our clients and their specific health-related conditions. As an In-Home Caregiver you will not only be providing a full scope of home care services, but you will also be relied upon to make observations and recognize changes in our clients.
Job Description
Our caregivers have been the heart of our business since we began in 2016. We are looking for HHA's, ready to provide quality in-home care, but also develop an enriching, meaningful relationship with our clients. Our clients require assistance with activities of daily living, but also assistance staying connected with the outside world through social activities, appointments and errands; your role as a HHA helps them to live to their fullest. Our Care+App keeps track of our clients care plans, changes in ADL status and outcomes.

Requirements
Must be able to provide verification of any certifications held
Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility
Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, as well as TB and drug screening tests
Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team
Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance

Duties of Home Care Aides/Companion Caregivers may include:
Light housekeeping
Menu planning, meal preparation and set up
Laundry and linen change
Transportation/shopping
Bathing and dressing assistance set up only
Safety and companionship
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility
Must be able to function with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the client
Must accept responsibility for maintaining skills and learning on an ongoing basis, as well as adhering to agency policies
Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must possess effective communication skills
Major Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the agency's clients with their personal care needs in accordance with the care plan
Responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living in a safe and beneficial manner
Caregivers must be observant enough to recognize changes in their clients, and be capable of alerting the appropriate personnel when necessary
Does not administer medication or perform any procedures requiring the knowledge or skills of a licensed nurse or registered therapist
California Specific Requirements
Be registered on the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) online registry system located at http://secure.dss.ca.gov/ccld/hcsregistry
Be fingerprinted and submit to CDSS through Live Scan
Successfully clear a background check (submit Criminal Record Statement)
Possess a valid form identification (i.e. California Driver's License)
Possess a Tuberculosis Clearance (no more than 90 days old) or if positive for TB, possess a chest x-ray indicating that they are free of TB
Complete the ongoing training requirement of 5 hours per year
