On Call Weekend Home Care Aide Scheduler
Homewatch Caregivers of Yorba Linda is seeking a caring and compassionate Home Care Aide Scheduler to join its growing team. This position will be on call 24 hours a day to cover caregiver shifts on weekends and is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all scheduling. You will be paid a guaranteed 16 hours each weekend as well as any applicable overtime. You may also pick up regular weekday shifts if interested. We are looking for someone that is willing and able to wear many hats and go the extra mile.
Scheduling responsibilities will include:
Scheduling appropriate caregivers with clients and communicating to all parties
Completing client and caregiver documentation in scheduling software
Responding to all questions regarding client and caregiver schedules
Confirming and updating caregiver availability including sick time and holidays
Documenting skills and attributes of caregivers to ensure strong matching to clients
Maintaining payroll records and staff information in database
Assisting with general office daily tasks
Caregiver responsibilities will include:
Covering shifts during call outs when no other caregiver is available
Light housekeeping, medication reminders and meal prep
Transfers, bathroom assistance and grooming
Shopping, transportation and running errands
Providing companionship
Requirements:
Organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Complete a criminal background check
Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
Current HCA and TB test
Applicants must be able to pass a background screening with satisfactory results. Be open to on-call responsibilities and available to assist with back-up caregiving duties in case of emergency. Candidate will work a full-time 40 hour per week schedule although it is possible, he/she will work 30-35 hours in the office and 5-10 hours on-call per week (evening and weekends). Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications as well as a moderate email load. Prior Home Care experience is a plus!
