    Job Description

    WE ARE IN SEARCH OF AN ENGAGING AND FRIENDLY BARTENDER TO PROVIDE EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE WHILE CREATING MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES FOR OUR GUESTS.   

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible)
    • Check guest for proper identification
    • Promote and upsell drinks and special drink promotion
    • Create alcoholic beverages using proper portion controls and control service to ensure no over serving
    • Adhere to all applicable Colwen/ brand standards
    • Maintain accountability of all beverages
    • Maintain inventory to par and order supplies as needed
    • Ensure cleanliness of glass, china and silver before use
    • Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations and Colwen policies
    • Set up bar prior to opening; ensure bar is clean pre and post shift according to operational standard
    • Ensure cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, food prep and storage equipment, tables and other tools
    • Perform side duties such as cleaning, garnish prep, misc. stocking and preparation
    • General knowledge of hotel, area and events to answer any guest question
    • Take payment and process all payment methods in a timely manner as set by Colwen policy
    • Count bank at end of shift, complete required cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop receipts and secure bank
    • Secure all alcoholic beverages, cabinets and storage areas
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • High School Graduate
    • One year of bartending experience
    • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
    • Working knowledge of beer wine, liquor and common drink recipes
    • Friendly and motivated with strong customer service focus
    • T.I.P.S. certification (within 30 days if certification is expired)
    • Proficient in English language (bilingual strongly preferred)
    • Familiar with Point of Sales register systems
    • Must be willing to work holidays and weekends
    • Must be willing to work varied hours
