Manufacturing Accountant (Quickbooks Experience)

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to join our Finance department. This position will be very hands-on in a Finance department of two.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide financial leadership and support operations for the plant through accounting, forecasting, planning and reporting

• Oversee AP, AR, Banking, & GL

  • Cash Flow monitoring
  • Collections (oversight & direct involvement)
  • Bank Reconciliations & Banking Transactions

• Oversee month-end closing

  • Preparing journal entries
  • Reconciling account balances
  • Performing account analysis
  • Running various reports
  • Interacting with personnel from across the organization as it relates to the specific areas of responsibility.
  • Fixed Asset subledger (CAPEX)

• Financial Reporting

  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly financial data review & reporting
  • Preparation of financial statements

• Audit

  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents (with team assistance)
  • Oversee annual audits with accounting firm

• Taxes

  • Work with CPA firm on Tax Returns & Franchise Taxes
  • Submit Sales Tax returns

• Internal Controls

  • Internal Controls policies/oversight

Requirements/Experience:

• Bachelors' degree in Finance or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years exp with 3 in manufacturing
• Quickbooks proficiency (preferably Desktop/Enterprise)
• Knowledge and experience with GAAP
• Inventory experience
• Must be a ‘generalist' in terms of experience (not simply a cost accountant or specialized position)
• Prefer someone who has worked with smaller companies
• Self-driven and autonomous
