Position Summary

An entry level honing position responsible for honing metal cages to a specific tolerance. Ensure the correct parts are being worked on by reading the honing specifications of a drawing/blueprint and an air gauge.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary

· Operate honing machine to HydraForce standards

· Follow honing process best practice

· Read honing specifications of drawing or blueprint

· Hone basic parts and valves, focused on either oil or coolant

· Read target area control tolerance

Qualifications

· HS school diploma or equivalent

· Some Manufacturing experience is a plus

· Machine operating experience is a plus

· Basic reading and writing skills in English

· Basic math skills or ability to use a calculator

· Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions in English

· Able to stay on task for long periods of time

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

· Lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance.

· Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

· Repetitive motion

Work Environment

· Work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high

· Exposure to oil and water

· PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes

Additional Information

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly range for the position is $18.00 - $20.00/hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
