The Cooks at Honest Mary’s are the ones who turn the raw ingredients into delicious bowls. Our in-house kitchen professionals are responsible for maintaining the back-of-house areas of the restaurant and for ensuring that our menu items are meeting the Honest Mary’s standards of freshness. Communication and cleanliness are crucial to success.

Responsibilities (Back of House / Cooking)

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Cook food using various utensils
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Check quality of ingredients
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items according to established procedures
• Restock kitchen for the next shift
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end shift
