Payroll Specialist
Payroll Specialist Honeybee Foods Corporation dba JOLLIBEE - Industry, CA $15 an hour Temporary PAYROLL SPECIALIST Responsibilities include timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll, handle employee inquiries, and work with HR department to ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with statutory regulations. This position will report to the Payroll Manager. Responsibilities * Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of leave of absence payments, retroactive payments, shift differentials, bonuses, accrual policies, new hires and terminations using ADP Workforce Now. * Manage ADP Time & Attendance system. * Manage payroll imports into ADP Workforce Now, including master file and pay data additions and changes. * Process manual checks, as needed, for terminations, bonuses and lost checks. * Monitor payroll inbox and provide employee assistance in a timely manner. * Respond to employee inquiries concerning payroll with high customer satisfaction. * Process garnishment orders to include accurate calculation, notification, system input and compliance. * Work closely with HR on employee benefits (e.g. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and Short Term Disability) and payroll changes. * Generate reports for finance, human resources, department managers and U.S. Bureau of Labor using ADP Reporting. * Prepare amendments and follow up on tax resolution issues. * Conducts regular post-payroll audits to ensure accuracy of payroll inputs/deductions. * Resolve payroll inconsistencies by analyzing missing information. * Reconcile payroll entries with 401k and GL files. * Coordinate with location managers to resolve any issues that arise. * Assist human resources department with various projects as needed. * Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential Basic Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. Accounting background is an edge. * Minimum of 3 years experience in Payroll. * Preferably with knowledge & experience in ADP payroll processes. * Computer Proficient (Excel, Word & Outlook) * Highly analytical with working knowledge of general payroll protocols, accounting principles and Federal and State regulations. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work well under time pressure. * Self-starter and ability to think outside the box. * Excellent attention to detail. * Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writingStrong written and verbal communication skills. * Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
