PRESCHOOL TEACHER (PART TIME)

Honeybee Preschool is a new, half-day preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 in Dripping Springs opening in April (licensing application is under review). We are looking for reliable, compassionate teachers to join our team. Hours are 8:30 to 2:00 Monday to Thursday. We are a reggio-inspired center that values and respects children and childhood. We are looking for one teacher to be there regularly as well as substitute teachers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Always ensure the adequate supervision and safety of children in our care
• Provide an enriching environment for children to explore
• Assist in creating projects and activities aligned with the interests of the children
• Document children’s learning through photos, transcribing conversations, and collecting artwork
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning routines
• Keep parents/families updated on children’s activities and progress using the Brightwheel app
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High school GED or equivalent
• Ability to work creatively and flexibly
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve
• Love of children
• Child care Preservice Training or education/experience exemption as defined by DFHS
• Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification
• Regularly required to sit, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a play-based child care center.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
