    HONORS PATHWAY (HP) SEEKS TO RECRUIT A FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT MANAGER TO SUPPORT FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENTS IN AN INNOVATIVE COLLEGE PATHWAY PROGRAM AT OUR NEWEST SITE TO BE LOCATED IN OAKLAND, CA. THE ESTIMATED START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS DECEMBER 1, 2020.

    COMPANY OVERVIEW 

    Honors Pathway (HP) is a social venture headquartered in Oakland, CA.  HP partners with a growing network of non-profit, regionally accredited universities and public high schools to operate MicroCollege programs. These unique college pathway programs enable low-income students to complete their first two years of college in a highly supportive environment – at no cost to them or their families. 

    MicroCollege is designed to help students who are “college-capable, but not yet college-ready,” successfully transition to college. College courses and coaching are offered in small class sizes at standalone MicroCollege sites. Each cohort of 30-35 students is assigned a Success Director and two Academic Coaches (Math and English) who provide over 500 hours of academic coaching and support each year.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Are you good at sales, but want to sell something that really matters? We are currently seeking a dynamic ENROLLMENT MANAGER, who will share his or her passion for our mission and unique pathway program that helps students successfully transition to college and assist applicants with the enrollment process. Come join our entrepreneurial team as we forge new territory in the education industry. 

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead (virtual) presentations and events to represent the MicroCollege program.
    • Respond warmly and accurately to phone, SMS, chat, and email inquiries from applicants who are interested in learning about or receiving information about MicroCollege.
    • Ensure coverage of phone lines during business hours, so students receive a live, personal answer and do not go into voicemail or give up and hang up.
    • Assist students and families with the enrollment process.
    • Make outbound phone, SMS, and email campaigns to potential students who have expressed interest in enrolling in MicroCollege.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • Strong understanding of and belief in the importance of education as a necessary success in life.
    • Outstanding oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills required.
    • Ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
    • Excellent listening and phone selling skills.
    • Deadline-driven, organizational, and management skills and the ability to self-manage multiple development projects and deadlines.
    • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
    • Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Due to Covid-19, this role will begin as a remote/virtual position, but will eventually transition to an on-site position at Honors Pathway’s Oakland office.

    Successful candidates will be required to submit official transcripts, as well as undergo a pre-employment criminal history background check with fingerprinting.
