    Honovee is looking for a Strategy and Leader Development Institute (SLDI) Instructor in Little Rock, Arkansas. If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow, make an impact, and be challenged, then look no further.

    Responsibilities Include:

    Provide Education and Instructor Support Services for the Army National Guard (ARNG) Professional Education Center (PEC) in the Organizational Readiness Training Center.

    ARNG PEC Instructor/Facilitator Certification

    Attend and successfully complete courses prior to facilitating courses, IAW PEC Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and TRADOC standards.

    Attend and successfully complete Common Faculty Development Program-Instructor Course (CFDP-IC) within 90 days of employment and prior to facilitating any courses.

    Achieve PEC Certification and graduate from assigned course prior to instructing/facilitating solo.

    Must have, at a minimum, an Adult Education Certificate from a Regionally Accredited Institution.

    Classroom Instruction

    Comply with all PEC SOPs, Army Education Accreditation Standard (AEAS), TRADOC Regulation 350-70, Army Learning Policy and Systems, Army Regulation AR 350-1, Army Training and Leader Development, and Proponents Programs of Instruction (POIs) in the performance of this effort.

    Conduct pre-check on all audiovisual equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition Friday prior to class start date.

    Submit electronic help desk ticket immediately upon detection of audiovisual equipment not functioning properly.

    If technical problems arise during the classroom instruction, submit help desk ticket “Critical Status” within 30 minutes of technical issue.

    Ensure all instructional materials/aids (i.e. student handouts) and classrooms are set up Friday prior to class start date.

    Facilitate SLDC courses, including Organizational Group Facilitation for National Guard Leaders; ARNG Strategic Planning and Management; ARNG Organizational Assessment Course; ARNG Lean Process Improvement; ARNG Agile Project Management; Seminar 54; Leadership Development; and ARNG Innovation Workshop.

    Facilitate instruction based upon current course materials as prescribed in the Program of Instructions (POI) to include content, sequence, timing, audiovisual presentation, and instruction methodology.

    Verify information on the course roster, make corrective annotations, and turn in to the Course Manager by close of business on the course start date.

    Present Government-prepared student certificates IAW established program procedures.

    Return all excess course materials to the Course Manager upon completion of course.

    Ensure classrooms are left in a neat and orderly condition upon completion of course.

    Test Administration

    Notify the Training Battalion Test Control Officer 24 hours prior to scheduled exam the number of exam materials required.

    Maintain security over all testing materials until returned to the Test Control Officer; return all testing materials to Training Center Test Control Officer within 1 hour of exam completion.

    Ensure test materials are not improperly reproduced or distributed.

    Student Interaction

    Immediately notify the Course Manager (or Battalion Commander, if Course Manager unavailable) of any student infraction as identified in the PEC SOP and the individual student assessment plan (ISAP) for the respective course; infraction notifications required no later than close of business on the day of the incident.

    Maintain professionalism and comply with PEC policy as relates to instructor/student interaction; present a professional, business casual appearance while providing services.

    Student Training Assessment

    Conduct training exercises, practical exercise critiques, and provide written evaluation of student performance IAW approved TRADOC POI.

    Communicating with Training Center Chief and/or Course Managers

    When applicable, schedule meeting with the Course Manager as specified by the Training Center Directives no later than 30 days prior to the start date of class to brief essential course administrative information, student population, and critical course content.

    Electronically update all parties of any changes to pending class via email.

    When applicable, schedule meeting with Course Manager as specified by the Training Center Directives no later than 2 business days upon completion of course to provide feedback on the course activity and post course evaluations, including comments on areas that were conducted effectively throughout duration of the course and comments reflecting opportunities for improvement throughout the duration of the course.

    Identify areas of weakness and work with the Course Manager to recommend any changes to current practical exercises, student handouts, or homework assignments that may enhance learning objectives to the course of instruction.

    Support the efforts of PEC to maintain TRADOC Accreditation.

    Mobile Training Teams

    May be required to perform as part of a Mobile Training Team (MTT) not more than twice per training year.

    Qualifications:

    Must be a U.S. Citizen. No Visas accepted.

    Education/Certifications: Common Faculty Development Program-Instructor Course (CFDP-IC) within 90 days of employment and prior to facilitating any courses; PEC Certification and graduation from assigned course required prior to instructing/facilitating solo; minimum Adult Education Certificate from a Regionally Accredited Institution.

    Years of Experience: 5+ years

    Clearance Level & Investigation: Favorable background investigation or security clearance / access approvals

    IA Cert Level (DoD 8570.01): Required within 6 months if performing services involving IA/IT functions.
