Associate Attorney in our Carson City Office Hooks Meng & Clement is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our office in Carson City. We are looking for an attorney to help provide our clients with expert representation, advice, and guidance in Industrial Relations Law solutions. We counsel & defend employers, insurers, third-party administrators, and others in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, subrogation, occupational safety and health, subsequent injury, and related matters. We enable them to navigate the sea of complex, ever-changing, and highly nuanced industrial relations challenges safely and swiftly. Our practice is fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-oriented. Responsibilities: • Represent our clients in court and/or online before government agencies. • Advise, review, and strategize with clients by telephone, written correspondence, and/or email. • Analyze conflicts in legal matters as well as strategize for our clients. • Maintain electronic client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff by using our online case management system. • Knowledge of all Nevada statutes and regulations pertaining to assigned cases. • Effectively communicate and coordinate with various State and local entities when required as well as opposing counsel. • Review and manage case files and case strategies for various clients. • Must be organized, be able to work well under pressure, and effectively track multiple deadlines. • Must be able to meet or exceed required monthly billing. Qualifications: • A member in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada and comply with all legal standards, ethics, Nevada statutes, and regulations. • Strong analytical and cross-functional problem-solving skills. • Strong ability to build relationships and rapport with clients, not just representation. • Ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Be able to work independently, but also collaborate with a team. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • 1-3 years of litigation experience is preferred but not required. Compensation: $100,000 yearly
