POSITION/TITLE: Parts Sales Representative (PSR)
DEPARTMENT: Sales
REPORTS TO: Parts Manager
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
POSITION SUMMARY: Working in a team environment, the PSR will work closely with the Parts Manager to achieve sales and revenue goals for the part sales market. The PSR is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close. The PSR receives (by telephone, web, fax or email) requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. Makes quotations on standard items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. The PSR will create purchase orders, ensure timely vendor acknowledgement and provide excellent customer service to HCS customers. The PSR works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with HCS vision and values.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Responsible for the sales of HCS products, equipment, and services to any HCS customer.
Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas listed above that allows PSR to give effective presentation of HCS products, equipment, and services.
Complete understanding of HCS pricing and part sales model.
Demonstrate the ability to carry on a professional and courteous business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale.
Sells and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions that HCS offers.
Responsible to assist and provide prompt response to requests from Outside Sales Reps and HCS Service Department staff.
Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, proposals, closed sales, and follow-up activities within NetSuite.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction.
Receive telephone requests, email requests, web inquiries for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers, dealers, and original equipment manufacturers.
Make price quotations immediately by utilizing equipment manufacturers support staff, price books, and/or other HCS sales tools. Focus on 24-hour turn around on all RFP responses.
Follow up on inquiries using NetSuite.
Use NetSuite and equipment manufacturer’s sales tools to retrieve customer information, product information, the status of purchase orders, and to make changes on customer purchase orders.
Work closely with order expeditors, inventory control, and manufacturing regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments.
Contact equipment manufacturers in order to meet customer's delivery requirements. Relay this information to customer.
Maintain files of active orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.
Check with accounting department concerning credit status of customers.
Prepares paperwork (original purchase order, copies of invoice, and return goods memo) to be given to accounting department for credit or debit to be issued.
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with the entire HCS family.
