VIDEO EDITOR (CREATIVE TEAM)

As a Video Editor at Hope City, you'll edit works that inspire and inform people to take next steps in their walk with Christ. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide in-house support and creativity to develop, edit, and deliver compelling video pieces for our services and social media platforms.
• Edit, support, and deliver content for television programming as needed.
• Work closely with the Creative and Production teams to help produce the most meaningful content, connecting people to each other and their faith.
• Work alongside Video Director and Creative Team members on video shoots as necessary.

YOU ARE:

• A quick-thinking, decisive editor with an ear for compelling content
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
• Proficient at Adobe Premiere and related Creative Suite apps
• Comfortable working with videographers and designers to create fresh looks
• Curious about emerging digital trends and social media platforms

JOB MUST-HAVES:

• Proven experience in video editing
• Ability to edit and deliver the broadcast to local, national, and international television stations 
• Strong knowledge in Adobe Premiere and After Effects (with specific expertise to manipulate graphics content)
• Working knowledge of different codes and their uses
• Solid understanding of audio capture and export settings
• Samples of work available online
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Willingness to learn, grow in skillset, and remain flexible
• Thrive on feedback and learn from every video you make
• Consistently nail the fundamentals so you can have fun being experimental
• Care more about inspiring people than chasing trends

JOB NICE-TO-HAVES:

• Familiarity or experience with Hope City
• Previous experience working for a church/non-profit
• Bachelor's in Video Production/Editing or equivalent
