    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Horizon Group USA is looking for a PRODUCT MANAGER to join our Merchandising team and manage the development of multiple creative lifestyle products geared towards tweens and young adults.  This role embodies both product development and merchandising.  We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about building products that customers love in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate has solid product management experience in a CPG company and is well versed in assisting in the overall management of multiple product lines throughout ideation and development with members from cross-functional teams.  To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the product life cycle and have the ability to work within tight deadlines while managing multiple products at once. Our ideal candidate is driven, flexible, and awesome communicator and is constantly looking to bring the best to our team.

    *PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REMOTE ROLE AND DOES REQUIRE BEING IN OUR WARREN, NJ OFFICE 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with product development and design teams to generate new product concepts through brainstorm meetings, trend-shopping and market research.
    • Facilitate the creation of sales presentations with mock-up samples, prototypes and presentation board.
    • Conduct daily communication with overseas office on issues of new product development/sourcing/costing and keeping a status of all pending projects.
    • Facilitate item, costing and margin information to sales team on assigned programs.
    • Create, and keep a status of, all art requests for new products, packaging revisions and production needs.
    • Review and comment on all production approval samples and provide customer-required samples to sales team.
    • Complete new item setup and other product & marketing related forms of production items for retail customers.
    • Work with members from cross-functional teams of Planning, Marketing Ops, Sales, Compliance, Data Management on all assigned programs.
    • Help drive expansion with sales presentations, samples review, reaction to buyer comments and product execution.

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have 4-8 years of product management experience in a CPG company (toy or children’s products preferred). 
    • Must have sourcing and/or costing negotiating background.
    • Strong sense of fashion, color and design.
    • Must have the ability to work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment amongst cross-functional teams.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must have strong Excel skills.
    • Must be super organized and follow-up oriented.
    • Openness to accept and implement constructive feedback. 
    • High energy, strong work ethic, highly driven.
    • Bachelor’s degree.
