Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Record a patient’s medical history accurately

Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.

Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.

Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts

Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.

Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks

Updates and documents patient's current medications, problem list, allergies, and health history, and relevant problems and/or complaints in the patient medical record.

Provides instruction, education, and direction to patients on routine medical questions, procedures and ordered tests.

Obtains pre-procedure medical clearance from outside providers for patients with cardiac and other high-risk modalities.

Documents all patient care encounters accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.

Maintains exam rooms, cleansing between patients and restocking as needed.
