Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Horse Handler / Equestrian Assistant to support horse and pony rides and, if qualified, assist with beginner to intermediate riding lessons. This position involves hands-on horse care, guest interaction, and close teamwork to ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for both our visitors and our horses. Weekend availability is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Key Responsibilities

Handle and prepare ponies and horses for rides and lessons.

Lead pony rides safely and professionally for children and families.

Assist with feeding, grooming, and basic horse care as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the barn and riding areas.

Follow all safety procedures and animal-handling protocols.

Provide excellent customer service and represent the ranch positively.

Qualifications

Prior horse-handling experience required.

Experience working with children or in a public farm environment preferred.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working around large animals.

Riding instruction experience is required.

Must be over 18 years of age

Must work weekends
