Chemical Applicator We’re in search of a hard-working team player to join us as a lawn care technician. Enjoy work outdoors and have the ability to work independently. You’ll typically work alone to perform lawn care and plant application duties for our customers including fertilizing, herbicide & pesticide applications, for lawn and trees/shrubs. Important to have good organizational skills. Ability to maintain equipment, Knowledge of weeds and plant and lawn pests and diseases is very helpful. Applicants should be able to work directly with customers to help answer their questions about lawn and garden disease and pest issues. The technician will call homeowners when requested to let them know they are coming. May assist with snow removal in winter and shop/tool maintenance in winter and on rainy days. Enjoy working in other departments when necessary. Responsibilities: • Lawn treatments - Chemical applications • Tree and shrub treatments • Pesticide application of residential and commercial properties • Mole treatments • Consult and communicate with sales and production manager on client needs • Communicate with customers on-site and phone • Willingness to help with snow removal in winter a plus • Maintain good cleaning practices Qualifications: • Current category 3 applicators license or ornamental turf license for Missouri and/or Illinois • Ability to lift and pull 50 lbs. throughout shift • Experience with aerating and overseeding lawns a plus • Valid Class E driver’s license and clean MVR • Good attitude & hardworking • Good attendance & reliable • Ability to work along and with a team when necessary • High School Diploma Compensation: $14 - $16 hourly
