PIRTEK, the nation’s leading provider for on-site hydraulic and industrial hose assembly and replacement, is hiring for a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to assemble and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in the Charleston, SC area.

Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required! Complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes and safety standards is provided. PIRTEK also provides support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions.
This is a messy job that requires manual labor and rotating on-call hours (on-call with incentive pay), so dedication and grit are essential - but if you are interested in a stable career with opportunity for growth and advancement, where hard work, quality workmanship and loyalty are both appreciated and rewarded, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Take pride in what you do and be a steward of the PIRTEK North Charleston brand
Identify faulty hoses and build and install new replacement hoses on a variety of equipment types
Disassemble and reassemble equipment containing faulty hose
Carry out service calls & visits to businesses in the Charleston metro area
Develop close relationships with new and existing customers
Input service / work order details into a tablet to create accurate invoices
Maintain mobile service unit, tools, equipment and manage mobile inventory
Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)
Skills & Abilities Needed
Self-motivation & positive attitude through difficult jobs
Able to work independently and as a team
Mechanically inclined with hands-on, real-world experience
Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
Lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
Clean driving record with valid driver’s license
Must pass background check & drug screening
Experience in industrial development & construction, automotive / marine / field mechanics or a related industry is a plus
