PIRTEK, the nation’s leading provider for on-site hydraulic and industrial hose replacement is hiring for the position of Hose Installation Technician.
Job Description: PIRTEK is looking to hire a Hose Installation Technician to service, assemble and install hoses for a diverse customer’s base such as manufacturing, construction, and rental companies, to name a few. We are looking for applicants with excellent communication and strong customer service skills. As a PIRTEK Hose Installation Technician, you will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile hose workshop/van and be carrying out service calls in the local area. This provides the opportunity to develop relationships with new and existing customers.
Successful candidates will be fully trained to operate a purpose-built PIRTEK service truck fitted with specialized equipment designed to fabricate flexible hose assemblies on site.
Responsibilities:
Service, assemble and install hoses for a diverse customer’s base
Carry out service calls & customer acquisition visits in the local area
Develop relationships with new and existing customers
Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies to service the customers' needs
Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement
Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customer’s satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)
Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
Develop relationships with new and existing customers
Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule (with increased incentive pay)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Mechanically Inclined– consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
Good Communication Skills
Positive attitude

Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
