About the Role:
Solace Hospice & Palliative Care Inc. is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Administrative Volunteer to join our team in Saint Charles, IL. Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to hospice staff, including filing, data entry, and document management
Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and empathetic manner
Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and calendar management
Prepare and organize patient care materials, mailings, and informational packets
Support front desk and reception duties as needed
Assist with special projects, community outreach efforts, and volunteer program activities
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
Requirements:
Genuine compassion and sensitivity when working in a hospice or palliative care environment
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Reliable, punctual, and committed to fulfilling scheduled volunteer hours
Ability to pass a background check and comply with health screening requirements
Prior administrative, clerical, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required
