About the Role:

Solara Hospice LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Volunteer to join our caring team in Waltham, MA. Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients and their families

Assist with non-medical tasks such as reading, conversation, and light errands

Offer respite support to family caregivers, allowing them time to rest and recharge

Participate in volunteer orientation and ongoing hospice care training

Document and communicate patient interactions and observations to the care team

Support bereavement outreach and memorial activities as needed

Assist with administrative or community outreach tasks as directed

Requirements:

Genuine compassion and empathy for patients facing end-of-life care

Strong interpersonal and active listening skills

Ability to maintain composure and sensitivity in emotionally challenging situations

Reliable, punctual, and committed to scheduled volunteer hours

Completion of required hospice volunteer training program

Background check clearance as required by hospice regulations

Prior experience in healthcare, caregiving, or volunteer work is a plus
