The Security Officer is the heart of BORDER STATE SECURITY. Our security officers allow us to accomplish our company's core purpose which is to serve and protect the clients we serve. Our security officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Continuous surveillance of hospital campus

• De-escalating threatening scenarios, including self-defense and defense of others

• Managing aggressive behavior

• Assisting law enforcement officers on site

• Protecting hospital staff and patients

• Checking facility doors

• Ongoing communication with client staff

• Reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing

• Assisting with patient transport - may require lifting
