We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Hospital and Physician Biller to join our dynamic team in Mobile, AL, 36608. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate billing and coding for our healthcare services, contributing to the financial health of our facility. Responsibilities

• Review and process patient billing information for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and government payers.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with healthcare providers and patients regarding billing inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and coding practices.
• Assist in the development of billing policies and procedures.
• Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with billing in a clearinghouse
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in hospital and physician billing, with a strong understanding of medical coding.
• Familiarity with insurance claims processing and reimbursement methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
