    Job Description

    JOB TITLE: Grant Research Administrator The Research Administrator will be responsible for providing analytical and financial support for procurement, processing, contracting, and grant administration, and budget development. This role performs all pre- and post-award administrative functions including, but not limited to: identifying funding sources; preparing necessary forms and proposals to request funding; ensuring internal documents are prepared and routed for approval and processing; monitoring grant accounts; tracking all expenses; providing grant and financial reconciliation; and all other research-related financial reporting. The administrator will ensures compliance with all internal policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal local agency requirements. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform relevant research to identify available grant and funding opportunities through local, state, and federal programs. Track and publish relevant deadlines for grant proposals and other work in progress. Contribute content to grant applications. Assist with compiling, formatting, and finalizing project proposals to submit to grant programs. Ensure internal documents are prepared and routed for signature and processing. Provide accurate and timely assistance in editing, writing from verbal and written instructions, formatting and submitting grants, reports, and publications following established guidelines. Monitor grant accounts, track all expenses, provide grant and financial reconciliation, and research-related financial reporting. Ensure executive team receive updated on grant information, help interpret grant requirements and policies, and ensure timely submission of paperwork. Oversee the administration and budgeting of research grant funds and ensure compliance with grant conditions and regulations. Responsible for grant close out. Participate in required training and education programs. Stay current on compliance regulations in all areas of research administration. Additional duties, as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in relevant area and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in grant administration. Preferred college, workforce, or job development experience. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Extensive knowledge of program administration guidelines of federal and non-federal funders. Support research and educational activities, preferably in a workforce development environment. Experience with budgeting and post-award management. Excellent writing and editing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Experience with all types of award mechanisms, including grants, contracts, subcontracts, cooperative agreements. Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google suite, and Outlook. Willingness to support HTA Team and follow procedures in fields such as workforce development, customer/client service, and accounting. Ability to manage multiple time sensitive projects.
