Honorable Mention is an elevated sports bar delivering a refined yet approachable game-day experience, opening late February/Early march 2026. Our menu features thoughtfully crafted small-plate shareables alongside bold, show-stopping entrées meant to be enjoyed together. Role Summary Hosts set the tone for the guest experience and manage the flow of the restaurant in a no-reservation environment while protecting service balance and VIP accommodations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival

Operate and manage a digital or manual waitlist

Accurately quote wait times and communicate delays

Manage server rotation and table assignments

Maintain balance between dining room sections

Hold and manage tables reserved for VIP guests

Communicate clearly with servers and management

Maintain an organized host stand and entrance area

Knowledge & Skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Calm, confident guest communication

Ability to manage guest expectations during peak times
