    Department: Front of House (FOH) Reports To: Floor Manager > GM Location: Kuza Scottsdale Pay Range: $15.15 - $20.00 per hour

    Job Summary

    The Host at Kuza sets the tone for every guest experience. This role requires grace, warmth, and an unwavering attention to detail. As the first and last point of contact, the host creates a seamless flow between reservations, arrivals, and dining experiences, ensuring each guest feels genuinely welcomed and appreciated.

    Key Responsibilities

    Greet every guest with genuine hospitality and professionalism.

    Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest notes through the designated system.

    Coordinate table assignments to optimize pacing and guest satisfaction.

    Communicate clearly with managers and servers to maintain an efficient seating flow.

    Anticipate guest needs, such as special occasions or dietary preferences.

    Answer phones and inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entryway.

    Provide thoughtful assistance with guest requests, to-go orders, or private dining inquiries.

    Support the FOH team by assisting with menus, table resets, and guest farewells during peak hours.

    Skills & Qualifications

    Minimum 1 year of host or guest service experience in an upscale environment.

    Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Friendly, polished, and composed demeanor.

    Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms preferred.

    Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
