Job Summary

We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join the team at our thriving restaurant. In this role, you will welcome guests, lead them to their seats, manage table times and communicate with servers. Your goal is to quickly build rapport with patrons, make them feel welcome and taken care of. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, committed to providing an exceptional dining experience and good with time management.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a smile and inform them of the wait time

Seat guests at their tables, taking into consideration server availability and guest needs

Provide guests with menus and inform servers of any allergies

Use our hosting system to manage seating and wait times

Qualifications

Previous experience as a host is preferred

Friendly and outgoing personality

Excellent communication skills

Ability to speak confidently and diffuse frustrations guests may have while waiting

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
