Position Overview The Host/Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests dining at Kindred Spirits Restaurant, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This role is essential in managing the flow of restaurant operations while ensuring guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations & Service
Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
Provide a positive first impression that reflects the hospitality standards of The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Estimate wait times accurately and communicate them clearly to guests
Thank guests when they exit and welcome them to return
Reservation & Seating Management
Manage reservations and seating charts effectively
Coordinate table assignments to optimize restaurant flow
Monitor table availability and communicate updates to guests
Team Communication & Support
Communicate with servers about table availability and guest needs
Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding walk-ins and add-ons
Assist with running food when requested
Support servers during busy periods as needed Operational Duties
Perform assigned side work to maintain restaurant standards
Clean and maintain menus in presentable condition
Assist with general restaurant cleanliness and organization
Any other tasks or responsibilities deemed necessary by management or ownership
