Northstar Tavern Inc in Bloomington, MN is looking for a friendly and energetic Host to be the first face our guests see! Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience

Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently

Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests

Coordinate with servers and floor staff to ensure smooth table turnover

Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general inquiries

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and entrance area

Assist with carry-out orders and to-go packaging as needed

Requirements:

Prior hosting, customer service, or front-of-house experience preferred

Outgoing, friendly, and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume restaurant environment

Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the dining area

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Must be reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
