Summary of Position:

Welcome and warmly greet guests upon arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes and business demands.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.

When immediate seating is limited or not available, record guest names and number of people in the party onto the wait list, and then provide an estimated wait time.

Call out the name and number of party when tables become available and guide them to their table.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

Seat guests based on guest preferences and as business demands each shift.

When seating, please inform the guests of their server’s name, inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness, and return to your station.

Relay messages to servers and expos as needed.

Assist in bussing tables, running food/drinks, answering the phone, and anything service related that your Manager or Lead may need through the shift.

Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return again soon.

Qualifications:

No previous restaurant experience required.

Food Handler's Permit is required

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).

Be able to verbally communicate clearly with guests

Must have clear and legible penmanship

Must be 18 years of age

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
