    Job Description

    Hotaling & Co., LLC is seeking an Assistant National Sales Manager to join the Hotaling’s Sales team.  The Assistant National Sales Manager will report directly to our Chief Sales Officer. This role will collaborate with Marketing and Finance to align goals, priorities, and communications with the Sales team. The Assistant National Sales Manager will work directly with top management and provide insight on the business, its performance, and areas of opportunities. The Assistant National Sales Manager will follow up regularly with Division and Regional Managers to address areas of opportunity or concern on key Brands assisting with executional plan changes to achieve annual goals.

    This role will also have a strong focus on driving operational excellence through streamlining processes, consistent workflow, and strategic planning to meet business needs. The ideal candidate must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks, have strong analytical skills, and a strong sales background in consumer goods.

    • Acts as analytics subject matter expert
    • Assists with gathering broad to granular information using newsfeeds, social media, and other available informational resources to obtain global, national, regional, state/local data to assist sales team and others
    • Assists in preparing ad-hoc analysis
    • Assists with cross referencing information to develop and strengthen sales leads
    • Provides logistical and analytical support to the sales team
    • Assists with tracking opportunities boards and provides information to sales team
    • Analyze and interpret financial metrics including P&Ls, revenue, net contribution, discounts and price elasticity across segments, regions, customers and channels to assist in management decision making and looking for areas of opportunities.
    • Present actionable information and insights to team members and management
    • Ensures timely and accurate collection, analysis, management, and dissemination of all sales reports
    • Researches and obtains necessary data and information in support of business operations
    • Prepares and maintains reports, daily and monthly communications
    • Assists in the implementation of technology solutions to support business information efficiencies and communications
    • Assists in planning and directing the installation of application systems projects involving multiple departments and impacting more than one area
    • Assists in mapping and designing workflow processes to accomplish internal and external customer solutions
    • Assists with business resumption to ensure availability of business functions in the event of a disaster
    • Assists with preparation for major trade shows and meetings
    • Attends annual trade shows, as needed
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Supports day to day activities of the Sales Team including questions, troubleshooting, approvals, and general support
    • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Finance team to drive business alignment across the organization.
    • Work closely with Suppliers and trade
    • Manages and motivates sales force to develop their skills to achieve their sales goals and KPI targets
    • Manage the integration of all training programs and materials for the sales team including on-boarding, formal sales technique and sales process, and product training. Working closely with HR, Brand Managers, and other Hotaling subject matter experts.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the Sales team
    • Partner with the Sales Management team to identify, develop and implement strategies, policies, and processes to continuously evolve and enhance our market-facing and internal support mechanisms. Identify process improvements and lead effective process changes.
    • Be a sales advocate and partner with internal teams to understand complex sales issues and being a conjugate between marketing, finance and sales.
    • Provide support to CSO and Sales team on special projects or requests.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years spirits industry experience or consumer goods (Sales, Sales Analyst, Sales Operations)
    • BS or BA degree
    • Conceptual and strategic thinker with the ability to implement a plan of action.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and support a team.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask are critical
    • Excellent written and verbal communication capability, including presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Must be able to function as part of a team and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment
    • Support sales by becoming a subject matter expert in Hotaling & Co.’s portfolio
    • Excellent organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills. Versatility, flexibility and willing to work under competing priorities with enthusiasm.
    • Excellent computer skills including intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT.
    • Must have the ability to utilize software for financial tracking, reporting and targeted marketing. Knowledge and experience of iDig, Karma and Price 2.0.
    • Strong project management, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills
