We're hiring an enthusiastic, data-driven hotel accountant to join our team. A hotel accountant manages the financial operations of a hotel, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance with financial regulations. You’ll keep our general ledger up to date and ensure the accuracy of all financial information. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient. Responsibilities: • Monitor income from all hotel departments (rooms, food & beverage, events, etc.) and verify accurate posting. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. • Handles all payments, adjustments, refunds, billing, credit card authorization forms, invoice requests, etc. • Manages and reconciles billing for all hotel groups and meetings. • Manages payments from third-party booking engines such as Expedia, Priceline, etc. • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and tax laws. • Completes monthly inventory. • Work with department heads to review financial performance and insights and control costs. Qualifications: • 2+ years of work experience in accounting (Hospitality accounting experience preferred) • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance • Knowledgeable of Hilton systems, PEP, Micros POS, QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial software. • Must possess exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving solving and time management skills • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $21 hourly
