    The Iron Horse Hotel Milwaukee is hiring a part-time Accounting Clerk. The Hotel Accounting Clerk manages daily financial tasks, like processing invoices, recording revenue, handling payments (cash, credit cards, petty cash), reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing, ensuring accuracy for reports and smooth hotel operations, often using accounting software and Excel. It's an entry-level finance role crucial for the hotel's financial health, requiring strong attention to detail and organization. Responsibilities: • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing invoices, verifying receipts, and managing vendor payments. • Revenue Tracking: Recording daily revenue, processing deposits, and preparing cash reports. • Reconciliation: Reconciling credit card statements, house banks, and general ledger accounts. • Financial Reporting: Assisting with journal entries and supporting month-end closing. • Petty Cash Management: Handling petty cash reimbursements and audits. • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintaining organized financial records and filing systems. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience (hospitality preferred). • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (PMS knowledge a plus). • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. • Ability to handle confidential information. Compensation: $19 - $20 hourly
