  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Hotel Controller supports the Hotel Controller in managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. Responsibilities include overseeing AP/AR, preparing monthly financial statements, reconciling balance sheets, managing cash flow, and supporting the controller in leading the department. Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting & Close: Assist with accurate, timely monthly closing and preparation of financial statements, including variance analysis. • Daily Accounting Operations: Supervise daily income audits, cash processing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with finance standard practice instructions (SPI), internal control programs (ICP), and tax regulations. • Balance Sheet Management: Review and prepare general ledger account reconciliations. • Audit Preparation: Assist with internal/external audits and liaise with tax authorities. • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise accounting team members. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related experience. • Experience: 3+ years of hotel accounting experience, with a preference for previous hotel/hospitality accounting. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in hospitality accounting software (M3). Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 yearly
