    HIRING: Chief Engineer Ramada Costa Mesa / Newport Beach Excel Hotel Group | Full-Time | $29–$32/hr

    We're looking for a Chief Engineer to take full ownership of maintenance operations at our Ramada Costa Mesa / Newport Beach property. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll run the preventative maintenance program, manage the maintenance team, lead the safety committee, and keep the building in top condition.

    What You'll Do:

    • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and building systems regularly to catch and fix issues before they become problems
    • Manage all building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool/spa, fire/life safety
    • Build and run the preventative maintenance program
    • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance techs
    • Manage outside contractors for specialized work
    • Serve as Safety Committee Leader — run safety trainings, maintain PPE, ensure OSHA compliance
    • Develop and manage the maintenance budget
    • Track parts/supplies inventory and handle procurement

    What We're Looking For:

    • 3–5 years hotel or commercial building maintenance experience, at least 1 year in a lead/supervisor role
    • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and pool maintenance
    • Strong communication skills — can direct a team, coordinate vendors, and report to management clearly
    • Physically able to stand/walk 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
    • Reliable and self-directed

    Nice to Have:

    • EPA 608 or HVAC credentials
    • CPO certification
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
