  • Responsibilities

    The Hotel Director of Finance manages all financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, monthly financial statements, and budgeting. They ensure compliance with tax laws, audit procedures, and internal controls. Key responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, overseeing inventory (food, beverage, linens), and advising the General Manager on financial performance. Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Preparing, analyzing, and issuing monthly financial statements, profit-and-loss statements, and balance sheets. • Accounting Operations: Managing the day-to-day accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), tax laws, and conducting internal/external audits. • Inventory & Cost Control: Reconciling inventories (food, beverage, operating supplies) to minimize loss and waste. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing annual operating budgets and forecasting future revenue sources. • Strategic Advisory: Providing financial guidance to the General Manager and ownership regarding ROI and profitability. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management. • Experience: Proven experience in hotel accounting or a similar supervisory role. • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MXP, PMS), strong analytical skills, close attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 yearly
