You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability • Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives • Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast Qualifications: • Must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales through lead-generation and closing • Prior Marriott experience is required. • Strong understanding of Marriott brand resources • Prior opening, re-opening, or branding experience highly preferred.
