GF Hotels & Resorts is excited to hire our opening director of sales for the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Davenport. (Please note the hotel is located in Davenport, FL) Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? We're looking for a dedicated director of sales to assist the hotel in reaching its sales targets. You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Organize meetings with department heads, report on sales activity for the previous and upcoming weeks, and produce a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenses • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations • Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast • Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability • Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required • Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field • We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills • Marriott experience preferred
