Job Summary
Four Points by Sheraton Detroit Novi is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Hotel Director of Sales to lead sales efforts for our full-service hotel, restaurants, banquet space, and group business.
Our property features 220 guest rooms, restaurants, a banquet center, and over 14,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space in the heart of Novi’s shopping and entertainment district, near Twelve Oaks Mall, Fountain Walk, and major corporate demand generators.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue through corporate accounts, group bookings, meetings, social events, weddings, sports teams, and local business development.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute hotel sales strategies to grow room revenue, group business, and banquet/catering sales
Prospect and secure new corporate accounts, group blocks, meetings, weddings, and social events
Build relationships with local businesses, event planners, sports teams, associations, and community organizations
Conduct sales calls, client meetings, property tours, and networking outreach
Manage existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase repeat business
Work closely with hotel operations, revenue management, front desk, banquets, and food & beverage teams
Lead, support, and hold the sales team accountable to activity and revenue goals
Prepare proposals, contracts, sales reports, forecasts, and action plans
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and local demand opportunities
Represent the hotel at community events, trade shows, and networking functions
Qualifications
Hotel sales experience required
Previous Director of Sales or senior hotel sales experience preferred
Experience with group sales, corporate accounts, meetings, weddings, and/or catering sales
Marriott brand experience preferred but not required
Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to prospect, close business, and meet sales goals
Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment
Familiarity with hotel systems, sales platforms, and revenue management concepts preferred
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hospitality sales professional who is comfortable being both strategic and hands-on. This person should enjoy building relationships, making sales calls, finding new business, and working closely with hotel leadership to grow revenue across rooms, meetings, events, and food & beverage.
