Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing outstanding guest service and ensuring a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in maintaining smooth front desk operations while promoting a welcoming and professional hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and provide efficient check-in and check-out services
Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a professional manner
Process reservations, cancellations, room assignments, and payment transactions
Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and courteously
Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation systems
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily balancing procedures
Promote hotel services, upgrades, and special offers when appropriate
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous customer service or hospitality experience required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and phone communication
