You’ll welcome guests, manage their information, distribute their keys and room assignments, and answer any general inquiries to ensure they have an excellent stay with us. Responsibilities: • Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information • Connect with the housekeeping department to ensure guest accommodations are ready • General bookkeeping: ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date • Handle customer complaints as necessary • Answer incoming calls and questions about guests’ needs in-person and online regarding room bookings, room rates, amenities, available rooms, rewards programs, and special requests • Effectively operate the hotel computer system or property management system (Opera, Colleague Advantage, and Reserve) • Monitor room availability, selling strategies, discounts, and frequent guest program benefits • To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently Qualifications: • Has previous experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems • 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred • Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations • Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational skills, and customer service skills • High school graduate, GED recipient, or equivalent Compensation: $17 per hour
