Hotel Front Desk Representative
Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Front Desk Agent to join our team at our extended stay hotel. This role is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy in all front desk operations. Responsibilities: • Greet guests warmly and professionally during check-in and check-out • Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately • Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens • Handle guest payments, deposits, and incidental charges with accuracy and accountability • Ensure all billing and folio details are correct and clearly explained to guests • Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and the local area • Handle phone calls, emails, and internal communications efficiently • Maintain accurate records in the property management system • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and guest issues are addressed • Follow all brand standards and front desk procedures consistently • Adhere to IHG brand standards in all aspects of guest service, operations, and compliance Qualifications: • Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • High attention to detail, especially with billing and data entry • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment • Basic computer and property management system skills preferred • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work any shift, including mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays, with no schedule restrictions • Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor Why Join Us? • Supportive and team-oriented work environment • Opportunity to grow within the hotel • Stable extended stay property with consistent business • Employee discounts and benefits are available Compensation: $16.75 hourly to start
