We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team at The Cove at Salem and her sister property, The Beverly Hotel. Your main responsibilities will include supervising our housekeeping staff and inspecting guest rooms and public areas to uphold our quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the Housekeeping team to prioritize room cleaning, address any issues, and ensure a seamless experience for our guests. Additionally, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, coordinating efforts across departments, and maintaining clear communication channels. During quieter periods and in case of staff absences, the Supervisor will be expected to assist with room cleaning and laundry tasks as needed. Furthermore, the Supervisor will be accountable for managing laundry operations. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage our Housekeeping team. • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness meets company standards. • Assign the Housekeeping boards, verify room status, verify departures at checkout times, and prioritize room cleaning accordingly. • Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Desk, and the General Manager. • Document and resolve any issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk. • Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating housekeeping staff. • Enforce company policies and safety procedures to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment. • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues. • Foster positive working relationships and address any concerns or issues among team members. • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards set by the company. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 55 pounds. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a housekeeping management role is required. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines in the hospitality industry. • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Additional Requirements: • Familiarity with hotel brand standards and procedures is a plus. Compensation: $21 - $23 hourly
