Responsibilities:
To clean and maintain all public areas (i.e. hotel lobby, restrooms) in impeccable condition, in accordance with hotel standards.
Essential Functions: • Thoroughly cleans sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, countertops, walls vents and floors with specifically assigned cleaning agents. Disposes of trash. • Dusts all furniture and pictures, cleans all windows and glass, and vacuums public areas. • Vacuums and disposes of trash in office areas. • Help in laundry when needed • Maintains a vacuumed appearance in stairwells. • Cleans guest rooms when needed • Assists delivering guest requests.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. • Attend all mandatory meetings. • Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to Safety/Security Department. • Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests and employee safety in the event of an emergency. • Complete all other duties assigned by supervisor, to include cross training. • Keep work area neat and organized.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment • Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand, and walk in public areas for extended periods of time • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and in written form • Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions with limited supervision
